The US Government recognizes that it must improve its efforts to identify, deter, protect against, detect, and respond to cyber threats and malicious actors.  The Government also needs to carefully examine major cyber incidents and apply lessons learned. The US has therefore issued an executive order on improving cybersecurity for the nation.
